Office of Campus Planning and Sustainability
KSU’s Office of Campus Planning and Sustainability oversees the planning of new buildings, offices, classrooms, and other spaces at KSU. We work collaboratively to design spaces that align with the vision articulated in the 2016 Campus Master Plan and that serve the long-term needs of various KSU departments. We strive to design spaces that are environmentally-sensitive, equitable, and that foster productivity and innovation.
Our work centers around inventorying existing spaces and assisting with space management needs, responding to and advancing project-planning requests, and implementing the Campus Master Plan. Additionally, we work with other faculty, staff, and students to advance sustainability goals for the university, such as improving our recycling rate, reducing energy and water consumption, increasing the use and availability of alternative commute options, and preserving natural resources on and off-campus.
